The latest Grenade Series II, with flashy silver stucco cladding, simply explodes with external features and is a real credit to the workmanship of Lennie Mifsud and his staff at OTM.
Highlights are its Cruisemaster 3.5t airbag suspension, rear departure angle, a massive toolbox on the extended A-frame; a slide-out external kitchen (with Weber Q), outside entertainment box, auto satellite system, all-terrain tyres, and an access ladder with roof basket for additional cargo.
What’s more, it completely blows you away with internal opulence that reveals Jennifer Mifsud’s interior design expertise.
I appreciated the attention to detail, such as the arthritic-friendly ‘hidden’ locks and catches, plus the sheer comfort and relaxation provided by the up-to-the-minute leather-upholstered cafe dinette with footrests.
The Grenade is a versatile van. It’s a big beast, tipping the scales at 2898kg (with a whopping 602kg payload), but it handles extremely well. In fact, our Toyota LC79 press vehicle effortlessly hauled it up some steep inclines – including one Everest-like hill!
