This follows the acquisition last year of the Sydney RV Group and a 25 per cent investment in caravan-sharing online community, Camplify.
Apollo Tourism & Leisure manufactures or imports and sells Winnebago, Adria and Talvor caravans and motorhomes in Australia, and also has a strong rental focus, with rental brands Apollo, Star RV, Cheapa Campa and Hippie.
Apollo chief executive Luke Trouchet said the buy-out of Kratzmann Caravans in Burpengary and Loganholme, Qld, and Clint’s Caravan Warehouse in Caboolture, Qld, (together known as the “Kratzmann Group”) would help Apollo become a leading player in the Australian RV retail market.
Kratzmann Caravans was founded in 1987 by Gary Kratzmann. It currently sells Avan, Franklin, Jurgens, Essential, Goldstream, Aura and Knaus RVs.
It is understood while Gary is retiring, Kratzmann's management team will all stay on, and Clint Kratzmann will be appointed as general manager.
[Kratzmann's] has become an iconic brand and we are very proud to be involved with the group," Mr Trouchet said. "There are no plans to change the strategy that has made the Kratzmann Group the success that it is – really it will be business as usual."
