Caravan World recently got its hands on the new Aura Titanium 186 for review. The Titanium is ideal for mid-sized tow vehicles thanks to its convenient layout and great comfort.
There are several models in the Titanium range and just about all of them, including this one, come with variations on the front island bed and rear bathroom (FBRB) theme. This includes the family layout where you get bunks, and the bathroom in the rear.
The caravan has a fitted battery management system and is built on DuraGal box sections chassis. Euro Vision windows – that is double glazed acrylic awning style – are fitted all round and the door is a Camec security item.
CW field editor Malcolm Street was particularly taken with the interior fit-out of the Titanium.
“Undoubtedly one of the standout features inside the van is the bright red colour on all the overhead locker doors – it's a change from the more normal lighter hues," Street said.
This convenient tourer fits the microwave above the 185L Thetford fridge, which means the rest of the kitchen bench is dedicated to the full cooktop/grill/separate oven and adjoining stainless steel sink/drainer. It also has two 80L water tanks protected by galvanised sheeting.
The Aura Titanium is available for $59,990 (on-road, Qld).
