Caravan World hits the road on new 'Adventure'

Caravan World and sister publication Camper Trailer Australia have a brand new home after Adventures Group Holdings Pty Ltd (Adventures) took ownership from global publishing giant, Bauer Media on December 1.

Adventures chief executive Rob Gallagher said great content would be the defining feature of the new business.

 “The Adventures business is steeped in tradition but will not be a traditional publisher,” Gallagher added. “The new ownership group is genuinely excited by the opportunity to work in a field they’re passionate about – and to also learn the business of media and content from the great team already in place.”

Key CW personnel including Senior Editor Laura Gray, Field Editor Malcolm Street, Staff Journalist Peter Quilty will continue their work on the brands, as well as the reviewers, writers and contributors that CW readers have come to know and love over the years.

Senior Editor Laura Gray said she was excited to help take Caravan World, which has along and respected history, into the future with a passionate, travel-focused team to help it flourish.

"Over the past 46 years and more than 550 issues, Caravan World has, rightly, become the industry bible and go-to resource for credible, independent caravan reviews and ratings. Our reviews are not for sale, so readers can be sure they are reading genuine information from some of Australia's most experienced and well-respected RV journalists," Gray said. 

There will be no effect on current CW subscribers, who will continue to receive their magazines through Magshop. New subscribers are also welcome to buy a print or digital subscription to CWthrough Magshop or sign up to the weekly CW newletter.

Adventures is an Australian-owned and operated brand and CW will continue to be published and printed right here in Australia.
