The Emerald’s release follows on from the launch of Avida’s new Topaz range of slide-out caravans.
The new Emerald has a sandwich panel construction for the floor, walls and roof, which is lightweight (Tare from 1800kg), plus dent and hail resistant. Standard features include, among others, roof-mounted reverse cycle air conditioning. 190L AES fridge and 1.52m-wide bed.
The five different layouts have been designed to suit a range of travellers, with a choice of caravan-queen-width bed, single beds, bunk beds and either a dinette or a lounge. Van lengths range from 17-20ft with one slide-out model available.
The Emerald Tourer can be upgraded with Avida’s Multi Terrain pack and the Explorer Pack which provides additional features for rougher roads, such as sports alloy wheels with off road tyres, Cruisemaster CRS or XT independent coil spring suspension, external shower with hot and cold water, gas barbecue fitting, 160W solar, checke plate stone protection, and a higher ground clearance.
