The awards are the engineering industry’s premier event, recognising outstanding contributions to advancing technologies.
Al-Ko was recognised in the ‘professional’ category for the impact of Al-Ko ESC on caravan safety and stability. Al-Ko ESC is designed to provide the best possible response in an emergency avoidance manoeuvre when towing, by automatically intervening to significantly wipe off speed and stopping distance and maintain control.
“This award further cements Al-Ko’s position as market leader in caravan and trailer technology, and is testament to the work that the whole team have put into developing and perfecting the ESC product,” Al-Ko managing director (electrical) Peter Mannfolk said.
Al-Ko maintains about 50 per cent of new caravans built in Australia are now fitted with Al-Ko ESC and a network of 300 certified installers are retrofitting the system to older caravans.
