Top Tourist Parks will now be known simply as ‘Top Parks’ and its member parks will fall into one of three new categories - Top Caravan Parks, Top Holiday Parks and Top Resort Parks.
Top Parks chief executive Stuart Livingstone said the change would help travellers select the right park for their needs.
“Some travellers may want a quiet, grassy spot to park their caravan or pitch a tent however others may want more such as a luxury cabin or villa, jumping pillow, waterpark and swimming pool for the kids,” he said.
“We are smashing the myth that holiday parks are only for travellers with a caravan.”
Top Caravan Parks
Top Parks states that Top Caravan Parks are: ‘Friendly, comfortable and welcoming…these are the parks that reward restless travellers with clean, modern amenities and a genuine pride in everything that only caravan parks deliver. They have everything travellers need and none of the things they don’t. It’s the timeless Australian park where the connection to nature and the region is always evident.’
Top Holiday Parks
The group’s Top Holiday Parks are said to be: ‘A family favourite with extra touches that families with kids are looking for. Sure the sites and cabins are great but it’s the facilities in the park (such as a jumping cushion, playground and safe bike-friendly paths) that bring the families back to these parks.
They’re comfortable and casual and the starting point for memorable family holidays….ideal home bases to explore the countryside and surrounding towns.’
Top Resort Parks
‘Where are we? Who cares…we’re not leaving this amazing park’, Top Parks says of its Top Resort Parks.
‘Top Resort Parks have everything and are a non-stop haven of new adventures and activities. Water Parks, extra sports, golf carts buzzing around - it’s a hands-on Disneyland. These aren’t parks in a destination area…they are the destination.’
The rollout of Top Parks is expected to be completed early next year.
