The new Bailey Rangefinder caravans take the West2East challenge

CW Staff — 12 October 2015

To ensure the all new Bailey Rangefinder is equipped to deal with the harshest Australian conditions, Bailey Australia Managing Director Adrian Van Geelen sent his two new models – the Nebula and the Gemini – along the epic West2East adventure.

This arduous and challenging route stretches from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean, cutting through the Australian Outback and visiting some of the country’s most iconic small towns.

The journey sees the two vans, which are towed by a pair of Toyota Landcruisers, traverse Australia’s iconic centre, tackling red dust, unsealed roads and roaming wildlife. And where would a touring adventure be without a classic Aussie campfire?

After six days on the road and more than 1100km, the team reach the halfway mark of Alice Springs, with both vans so far proving to be a worthy match for our harsh outback touring conditions.
