Enjoy art exhibits, short story and verse competitions as Grenfell honours the work of one its most famous citizens for the 60th year including a street procession, car show, live music


Henry Lawson, one of the most famous Australian poets, was born in Grenfell in 1867. In memory of Henry Lawson this event has been created and held annually.
You can enter to participate with your verses, painting and photography pieces, short stories, performances and other arts. Some of the highlights are Bush Poetry and Where Pigs Fly (Pinnacle Guinea Pig Races).

THE MERIMBULA JAZZ FESTIVAL

Location: Merimbula
Now in its 37th year, the festival includes a street parade, the popular Jazz Quest for the under 25s and a Jazz Party, with fantastic jazz performances across four days and six venues.
There will be 110 bands and 640 musicians at the festival. You have the opportunity to see many amazing bands at different locations: Twyford Hall, Lakeview Hotel, Auditorium (Club Sapphire), Function Room and Maple Leaf Room.
There is a 5pm start that roughly goes till 12am on Friday; 11am start and 12am/1am finish on Saturday; 11am start and 12am/1am finish on Sunday; 11am start and 4:10pm finish on Monday.
