Sadly, I have to inform CW readers that Denyse and I will not be writing our travel stories and videos, special features and Road Tests any longer.
Unfortunately, long standing medical problems are making it impossible to continue caravanning, and also difficult to use the cameras and laptop.
Looking back on 14 years with CW, writing for every issue, as well as associated magazines, means it has been a great part of our lives.
Writing our travel yarns and shooting website videos has taken us around Australia several times, plus up and down and across the country and it has been a wonderful experience for both Denyse and myself.
Hopefully, some readers may have also found Denyse’s medical columns published in CW in past years of some interest.
I have been fortunate to have worked with three wonderful editors, Ros Bromwich, Max Taylor and now Laura Gray. I have learnt a lot from you all, and also from Ellen Dewar in your photographic department.
Denyse and I will be selling our faithful caravan and buying a new AWD vehicle and continuing with some road trips.
We plan to stay in cabins mostly, without any deadlines, and just taking happy snaps instead of images for publication.
Hopefully we may still meet up with some of our readers along the track.
On behalf of the CW team, past and present, I would like to thank Tony and Denyse for their years of dedicated service to, and support of, Caravan World. We couldn't have asked for better ambassadors for the magazine, and their passion for it was unrivalled. We wish them all the best for the future and hope to see them on the road somewhere! - Laura Gray
