Qld’s peak motoring body, the RACQ, has developed a web-based questionnaire that helps older motorists make the most of their driving skills.
The Older Driver Self-Assessment Questionnaire (ODSAQ), developed by the RACQ’s road safety experts, poses more than 30 questions about health, driving and related issues. The website automatically generates a list of tips based on the responses to the questions.
According to RACQ, responses to the questionnaire are not recorded.
“The older-driver questionnaire is designed to help older drivers maintain their freedom and independence, as well as their safety on the road,” RACQ traffic and safety manager John Wikman said. “By filling out the questionnaire, the older motorist can assess their driving skills and also obtain a comprehensive range of tips based on their individual response.”
The questionnaire is available free of charge on the club’s website, www.racq.com
