Family waterpark for Barossa Valley

Adelaide-based Discovery Parks has developed a unique holiday destination in the heart of the Barossa Valley. It’s a new 500sqm family waterpark that is one of the biggest caravan park waterparks in Australia.

The waterpark – inspired by vineyard colours of grape purple and nature-based green – features five different splash zones, two slides and hundreds of jets and sprays. It’s also designed with a zero depth splash pad, allowing minimal opportunity for water evaporation, and water is recycled into a balance tank where it’s treated and reused.

“With the development of this new waterpark we are aiming to provide an additional reason for families to include the Barossa on their holiday itinerary,” Dana Ronan, chief marketing officer for Discovery Parks, said.

Local mayor Bob Sloane says this new waterpark will help propel the Barossa Valley region into an affordable destination for families, providing affordable and value-for-money family experiences that are good for the local tourism sector.
