The Caravan Industry Association of Australia has partnered with the Australian Made Campaign to help promote and support Aussie manufacturers within the caravanning and camping industry.
With many Australian made products competing with the global market, the Australian Made logo demonstrates to their potential consumers, an added value benefit of buying authentic Australian products.
Caravan Industry Association of Australia CEO, Stuart Lamont says “Caravan Industry Association of Australia has always been keen to ensure that consumers make the best-informed decisions when it comes to purchasing their new RV. In recent times there has been some public commentary regarding the origin of certain products as well as how much Australian content and labour is contained within certain RV products.
"In addition, the Association’s RVMAP has criteria regarding whether a product should be badged as RVMAP (for local product) or International (for Imported product). As a result of this commentary, we have had several conversations with Australian Made to ensure our criteria was contemporary and consistent with common publicly available definitions“ says Lamont.
The Australian Made Campaign uses a third-party accreditation system which ensures products that carry the logo are certified as Australian made.
